The Journey

Uganda — Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

From Nairobi, the expedition moves into the ancient rainforest of Bwindi for dedicated gorilla tracking. Guests spend time face-to-face with a habituated mountain gorilla family — one of the rarest wildlife encounters available anywhere in the world.

Kenya — Ol Pejeta Conservancy & Amboseli National Park

At Ol Pejeta Conservancy, East Africa’s leading black rhino sanctuary, game drives are intimate and uncrowded within a protected private conservancy — home to the last two remaining northern white rhino.

In Amboseli National Park, vast elephant herds move beneath the snow-capped summit of Kilimanjaro. Early morning and late afternoon drives maximise predator movement and golden light across the plains.

Tanzania — Tarangire, Ngorongoro & Northern Serengeti

Tarangire National Park is defined by monumental baobabs and extraordinary elephant concentrations.

The Ngorongoro Crater — a UNESCO-listed volcanic caldera — remains one of Africa’s most wildlife-dense environments.

Four nights are dedicated to the Northern Serengeti, positioned within the migration corridor near the Mara River. Depending on seasonal movement, guests may witness dramatic crossings, while year-round big cat activity ensures consistent predator sightings.

Designed for Access & Efficiency

Wildlife viewing is conducted via professionally guided morning and afternoon game drives, carefully timed around animal behaviour and light conditions.

All regional travel is by scheduled light aircraft — maximising time in prime wildlife areas and eliminating long overland transfers.

Accommodation is exclusively A&K Sanctuary and hand-selected luxury lodges positioned within the ecosystems themselves, each operating on a fully inclusive basis — including dining, premium beverages and curated lodge experiences — allowing guests to remain completely present within each environment without distraction.

Hosting & Exclusivity

This journey is limited to a minimum of three and maximum of six guest couples, and is hosted throughout by experienced Luxury Safaris / Moon Tours hosts alongside A&K Sanctuary’s professional safari guides.

Full meet-and-greet services and private transfers are arranged at every stage, ensuring seamless transitions across all three countries.Their presence ensures seamless cross-border coordination, refined logistics and a cohesive experience across all three countries.

Gorilla Forest Lodge (A&K Sanctuary) – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda

Set within Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Gorilla Forest Lodge is one of the most exclusive addresses in gorilla trekking country. Positioned inside the ancient cloud forest itself, it offers direct proximity to one of the rarest wildlife encounters on earth.

Recently reimagined, this intimate retreat blends sustainable architecture with refined comfort. Natural, locally sourced materials and Ugandan craftsmanship are evident throughout — from handcrafted furnishings to subtle design detailing that reflects the surrounding rainforest.

Standalone suites are privately positioned within the forest canopy, each opening onto a viewing deck immersed in dense greenery. The open-sided main lounge and dining space forms the social heart of the lodge, while the Explorer’s Lounge provides deeper context into the ecosystem and its resident gorilla families.

After days spent trekking through rainforest terrain, evenings unfold beside the campfire, accompanied by forest sounds and a sense of rare immersion.

Gorilla Forest Lodge offers intimate scale, privileged positioning and authentic rainforest luxury — directly within gorilla territory.

Tambarare Camp (A&K Sanctuary) – Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Kenya

Set beneath the foothills of Mount Kenya and surrounded by fever trees, Tambarare Camp occupies a privileged position within Ol Pejeta Conservancy — a 90,000-acre private wildlife conservancy and East Africa’s leading black rhino sanctuary.

This is significant conservation territory. The conservancy protects both black and white rhino, including the last two remaining northern white rhino, alongside healthy populations of lion, cheetah, elephant and plains game.

The camp’s luxury tented suites are discreetly positioned within the woodland setting, blending teak flooring, canvas textures and subtle Maasai-inspired detailing to create a refined safari aesthetic. Elevated guest areas overlook the boma and surrounding plains, where evenings unfold with sundowners and quiet fireside gatherings.

Tambarare delivers conservation depth with boutique intimacy — thoughtfully placed, privately scaled and deeply connected to one of Kenya’s most important wildlife landscapes.

Kitirua Plains Lodge (A&K Sanctuary) – Amboseli, Kenya

Situated on a private concession bordering Amboseli National Park, Kitirua Plains Lodge occupies one of the most dramatic positions in East Africa — directly beneath Mount Kilimanjaro.

The lodge’s contemporary architecture, defined by curved walls and fluid rooflines, mirrors the contours of the surrounding plains. From its standalone suites, uninterrupted views extend toward Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped summit, creating a striking backdrop to daily safari life.

Interiors blend natural textures with subtle Maasai-inspired detailing, while expansive glass and private verandas invite the landscape inside. The setting offers direct access to Amboseli’s renowned elephant herds, often seen moving across open plains with the mountain rising behind them.

Positioned on the rim of the UNESCO-listed Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro Crater Camp offers rare vantage above one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife arenas.

Elevated among indigenous forest along the escarpment, the camp enjoys sweeping views across the crater highlands. Morning mist often drifts through the trees at dawn, creating an atmospheric setting before descending to the crater floor.

The tented suites are privately positioned within the forest canopy, while the central lounge and dining areas open toward panoramic escarpment views. Evenings are defined by fireside gatherings and refined dining in an intimate, high-altitude setting.

From this privileged location, early access to the crater floor allows immersion in one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the continent — including lion prides, dense buffalo herds and the rare black rhino.

Operating in seasonal locations to remain close to wildlife concentrations, the camp offers exceptional proximity to vast herds of wildebeest and zebra. Depending on timing, this region provides access to dramatic Mara River crossings, expansive grazing plains and predator-rich territory.

The camp’s luxury tented suites are elevated on wooden decks and blend classic safari character with refined comfort. The design prioritises both mobility and intimacy — allowing guests to remain deeply connected to wildlife movement while enjoying considered levels of comfort.

The central guest area flows from a canopied main tent into relaxed lounge and dining spaces that open toward sweeping plains. Evenings unfold beneath vast skies, often accompanied by distant lion calls and the movement of herds beyond camp.

Kichakani Camp offers purposeful positioning within one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife landscapes — remote, intimate and precisely placed within migration country.
